There are two ways you could become a licensed minister. You could become an ordained minister of a recognized religious denomination following the completion of an accredited seminar or theological program. Both paths will allow you to meet licensing requirements to become a minister in most states.
Get Ordained From a Religious Denomination
Each of the major religious denominations offers a similar path to ordination and typically require a graduate degree. For example, if you were a Christian, you would have to attend a seminary or school of theology to train to become a minister. You would work toward earning a master's of divinity degree. If your goal is to minister in the Jewish faith, then you would need to study at a Rabbinical College, where you would work toward earning a master's degree in Rabbinical studies.

Online ordination services typically serve no religious affiliation and have simple registration requirements. All you need to do is fill out the necessary paperwork and pay an ordination fee or a donation request to receive your ordination certificate and minister's identification card.
Licensing
