Washington County Community College in Calais, ME, is a 2-year public college. Students can choose from 18 programs of study that are designed to prepare them for entry-level jobs.
WCCC offers students classroom-based computer programming classes. These classes are designed for beginners and start with a survey class in computer programming. After taking the introductory course, students can enroll in more advanced computer programming classes as well as an internship. Students in the internship complete computer programming projects for local businesses and industries. WCCC also offers training in areas related to computer programming, including in network administration, webpage design and Cisco computer networking.

Northern Maine Community College
Northern Maine Community College is a 2-year college in Presque Isle. The college first started offering classes in 1963 and has over 7,000 graduates.
Students who complete computer programming training at NMCC must enroll in online courses. The college offers several courses related to computer programming, including introductory programming and language-classes in Visual Basic, Java, ASP.NET and C++. NMCC's online classes have four start dates throughout the school year.
