Master's Degree in Kinesiology at Fresno Pacific University

Fresno Pacific University offers a 17-month online master's degree in kinesiology. Two of the semesters include full-term courses and 6- to 8-week sessions. Course topics include values, technology, issues and history of kinesiology. The fifth and final semester is devoted to a comprehensive examination.

Master of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Wyoming

A Master of Science in Kinesiology is granted to those who complete the distance education program at the University of Wyoming. This program includes three required courses. Two of these are in kinesiology, and one is in biological sciences. The program also requires 12 semester hours in kinesiology and health electives. One elective from outside health and kinesiology must be taken with the program. A research paper is also required. The online program offers an area of emphasis in physical education teaching.

Online Kinesiology Program at the University of Texas

Four institutions of the University of Texas work together to offer online master's degree programs in kinesiology. Through these schools, students explore such topics as exercise physiology, exercise psychology, ethics in kinesiology, sports psychology and sport nutrition. Programs include foundation courses and electives. Students must complete either a comprehensive examination or write a thesis at the end of the program to receive the degree. Students can then select from a list of courses that address nutrition science, athlete conditioning, methods for teaching sports activities, applied exercise physiology and fitness assessment.
