Concord Law School's Executive Juris Doctorate program provides a broad overview of legal procedures, practices and research. Topics addressed in required courses include contract conditions and obligations, civil liability issues, criminal laws, federal legislative authority and processes, and professional ethics in the legal profession. Students also have the opportunity to study legal terminology, communication methods, and legal research techniques. It should be noted that the Executive Juris Doctorate program does not meet eligibility requirements for taking the California Bar Examination.*

What Are the Prerequisites?

Potential students of Concord Law School's Executive Juris Doctorate program should hold a bachelor's degree and have completed a prelegal program prior to enrolling in the Executive Juris Doctorate program. Experience in a law firm, corporate legal department or similar environment can also helpful but is not required. Applicants to Concord Law School should be citizens or permanent residents of the U.S. Since the program is offered online, applicants should have access to a computer. Some programs may have additional requirements.

What Are the Course Requirements?

Successful completion of the Executive Juris Doctorate program requires a total of 72 credits. This credit total consists of 38 credits in core requirements and 34 credits in electives. Electives are taken in the second and third years only. This course is designed to be completed in three years. Degree program and course requirements are subject to change.
