Penn Foster Career School's Dental Assistant Career Diploma program is designed to help students develop the skills necessary for entry-level positions in dental assisting. Topics you may learn about include preventative dentistry, dental terminology, nutrition, disease transmission, and radiology. You may also develop basic business skills through this program. The Dental Assistant Career Diploma program at Penn Foster Career Schools includes all of the materials, lessons, equipment, and learning aids you need to complete the program. You complete the program at home and at your own pace.
Previous knowledge of biology or anatomy may be helpful. Applicants to Penn Foster Career School's programs should be at least 18 years old.
In order to complete this program, students must complete all nine instruction sets. Each set includes two to three lessons. Upon completion, you'll receive a review textbook for the dental assistant examination.

If you complete this program, you may gain knowledge of how to complete dental procedures, dental anatomy, and infection control. This program may prepare you to work in a private dental practice, dental clinic, or government agency.
