Available both online and at selected University of Phoenix campuses, the Bachelor of Science in Business with a concentration in Management program focuses on the development of decision-making, problem-solving, critical thinking and other management skills and techniques. Students have the opportunity to learn basic information about human resources management, international trade, conflict management, strategic management planning, customer satisfaction, change management and global business practices. They also have the chance to build a foundation in business by taking core courses in accounting, business communications, business information systems, marketing and finance.
While no prerequisite courses apply to this program, previous courses designed to develop management and communication skills can be helpful. You should have some experience or interest in working in a corporate environment, possibly in a human resources or finance department. Applicants to University of Phoenix programs should have a high school diploma or GED.
Once you are enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Business with a concentration in Management program at University of Phoenix, you will be expected to complete 120 semester-credits (124 for Kansas residents) to earn this degree. You must complete five required courses and one elective course in the management area of concentration for a total of 18 credit hours.
