University of Phoenix's Master of Business Administration program is a graduate-level program designed to teach students skills related to economics, organizational leadership, human capital management, operations management, and other areas. The program is offered online and on selected University of Phoenix campuses. Students have the opportunity to develop managerial, organizational, and administrative skills. Coursework provides an overview of topics such as marketing, accounting, and statistics. Students who are interested in acquiring specialized knowledge can select one of nine concentrations. Applicants to University of Phoenix's graduate programs should have already earned a bachelor's degree with a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on the undergraduate degree posted transcript.
If you enroll in University of Phoenix's Master of Business Administration program, you will be required to take 36 credits of core business classes; however, you may earn up to 54 total credit hours. Each concentration consists of 15 graduate-level credits; you may be able to count some of your core business coursework towards the concentration requirements. Core courses include:
A Master of Business Administration degree is often considered a terminal degree for graduates who aspire to work in the business community. Doctor of Business Administration degrees are available to graduates who aspire to academic positions and to those who would like to learn more about business theory. Graduates could also pursue specialized credentials, such as the Certified Public Accountant or Chartered Financial Analyst credentials, which may require further coursework and examinations.
