Herbalism

Herbalism Careers

Herbalism is a form of alternative medicine that focuses mainly on the use of plants and plant products for curing disease. If you have an interest in herbalism, consider earning an associate's or bachelor's degree in botany, horticulture, biology, medicine, chemistry or a similar field. Careers in research science, developing and testing new drugs, may require a master's degree. Other positions, such as acting as a retail clerk for a herbal medicine supplier may require only an associate's degree. Herbalists may need to be licensed and certified, depending on current laws and regulations.
