With many experienced nurses retiring and an increasing number of patients placing a heavy burden on America's health care system, a variety of nurse licensing training options have become available. In addition to traditional bachelor's degrees in nursing, students with a bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline may enroll in a one or two year program that prepares qualified students for careers as registered nurses. Some hospitals also offer special in-house programs that train qualified applicants to pass the required licensure examinations and qualifications. With all the licensing training options available to prospective nurses today, there is no reason not to begin on the path to a challenging and rewarding nursing career!
